Lubricant used:

Puma HD Plus 15W-40 API CI-4 Plus, a diesel engine oil designed to meet and exceed the highest performance requirements under the most demanding conditions.. It currently has approvals from the most demanding original equipment manufacturers such as Mercedes Benz, Detroit Diesel, Cummins, Volvo, Mack and Renault.

Results:

Before carrying out this performance test, La Catalana had a lubricant drain interval on its fleet of 5,000 Km., until it switched to Puma. Based on the results obtained, Puma HD Plus API CI-4 Plus was able to extend drain interval and safely protect the engine up to 10,500 Km; as well as maintaining an extremely stable TBN level and excellent viscosity at 100 C, throughout the whole testing period (viscosity variation was from 13.7 cSt to 13.5 cSt, only 1.5%). No lubricant top up was done during the entire test period.
